Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Wisconsin-based role focused on sheet metal fabrication within a large agricultural equipment manufacturer.

You will develop and optimize fabrication processes, design tooling, and lead lean improvements across cutting, forming, and welding operations. Collaboration with design and production teams is essential to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Good 3D CAD skills, preferably Creo.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize fabrication processes for structural steel and sheet metal components.
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for cutting, bending, forming and welding.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with product engineering onDFM for fabricated parts.
• Program or support CNC plasma/laser cutters and robotic welding cells.
• Conduct time studies and capacity analyses for planning and utilization.
• Support capital equipment projects from selection to installation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
