Job summary

Our client, a longstanding manufacturer of agricultural equipment, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer focused on sheet metal fabrication to optimize metal forming processes and tooling.

You will develop, document, and improve fabrication workflows for structural steel and sheet metal, design jigs and fixtures, and drive lean improvements to increase throughput and quality. This role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and offers a collaborative culture with safety and growth emphasis.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent required.
• 3+ years' experience with sheet metal fabrication and related profiling/bending equipment.
• Strong CAD skills with Creo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize fabrication processes for sheet metal components.
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for cutting, forming, bending, and welding.
• Drive lean initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with product engineering on design for manufacturability.
• Program or support CNC plasma/laser cutters, press brakes, and robotic welding cells.
• Perform time studies and capacity analyses to support planning.
• Support capital equipment projects from selection to installation.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to fabrication quality.
