Job summary

Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a long‑standing agricultural equipment manufacturer in Wisconsin. You will develop, optimize, and sustain sheet metal fabrication processes including cutting, forming, and welding to improve throughput and quality.

Responsibilities include designing jigs and tooling, CNC programming support, and applying lean methods to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework, while collaborating with product engineering on DFM.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with sheet metal fabrication including profiling and bending equipment.
• Good 3D CAD skills, Creo preferred.
• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize fabrication processes for structural steel and sheet metal components.
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for plasma/laser cutting, bending, forming, and welding.
• Drive lean initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework in fabrication operations.
• Collaborate with product engineering on design for manufacturability (DFM) for fabricated parts.
• Program or support programming of CNC plasma/laser cutters, press brakes, and robotic welding cells.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and workflow assessments to support production planning.
• Support the implementation of capital equipment projects, including machine selection, layout, and installation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to fabrication quality or equipment issues.
