Job summary

Our client, a 198-year-old manufacturer of agricultural equipment, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer focused on sheet metal fabrication. You will develop, optimize, and sustain metal fabrication processes for cutting, forming, and welding to drive throughput and quality.

This role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and offers a culture focused on safety, continuous improvement, and employee growth in a dynamic Wisconsin facility.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience with profiling and bending equipment.
• Good 3D CAD skills, preferably Creo.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize fabrication processes for structural steel and sheet metal components.
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for plasma/laser cutting, bending, forming, and welding.
• Drive lean initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate on design for manufacturability (DFM) with product engineering.
• Program or support CNC plasma/laser cutters, press brakes, and robotic welding cells.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and workflow assessments.
• Support capital equipment projects from selection to installation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for fabrication quality or equipment issues.
