Job summary
Top Echelon Software, LLC is helping a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT recruit a skilled CNC Programmer. This role blends CNC programming, manufacturing process planning, and cost estimating to support sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate will interpret drawings and CAD models, select tooling and production methods, design fixtures, and collaborate with production, sales, quality, and shipping to optimize throughput.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency with CAD software and relevant CNC programming languages.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
- Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
- Design manufacturing fixtures as needed.
- Establish manufacturing routings in accordance with applicable standards.
- Work closely with production personnel to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
