Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Farmington, CT. The role combines CNC programming, manufacturing process planning, and cost estimating to support sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on programming experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across production, sales, quality, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production and quoting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material requirements, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Verify that documentation and finished products meet customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
• Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods and support on-time delivery.
