Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group seeks a CNC Programmer to join a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT. The role blends CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimating to support high-quality sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
Familiarity with equipment and manufacturing standards.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting production and quoting deadlines.

Responsibilities

CNC Programming and Manufacturing Support: Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Interpret drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specs to determine manufacturing requirements.
Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
Design manufacturing fixtures as needed; establish routings per standards.
Work with production to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Cost Estimating and Quoting: Prepare accurate cost estimates from materials, labor, machine time, and services; review drawings for manufacturability.
Support sales with timely, accurate quotations.
Quality and Continuous Improvement: Maintain quality docs, inspections, FAIs, Certificates of Conformance; support audits and improvements.
Shipping and Order Coordination: Packaging, packing slips, bills of lading, shipping docs; schedule carrier pickups.
