Connectly Recruiting is seeking a CNC Programmer for a manufacturing client in Farmington, CT. The role blends CNC programming, manufacturing process planning, and cost estimating to support sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has hands-on programming experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with production, sales, quality, and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficiency with CAD software and CNC programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, press brake, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Select tooling, materials, and production methods to improve efficiency and minimize waste.
• Design manufacturing fixtures as needed and establish manufacturing routings.
• Work with production personnel to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on material, labor, machine time, and outside services.
• Review customer drawings to assess manufacturability and define production requirements.
• Obtain pricing from vendors and support the sales team with quotations.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and FAIs.
• Coordinate packaging and shipment of finished goods and ensure on-time delivery.
