Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our client’s team in Farmington, CT. The role combines CNC programming, process planning, and cost estimation to support sheet metal fabrication, efficient production, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on programming experience, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with production, sales, quality, and shipping teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CNC programming experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes and tooling.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting, punching, and press brakes.
• Interpret drawings and customer specs to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Select tooling and methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Design fixtures and establish routings to meet standards.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with production teams.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive quotations.
• Review manufacturability of customer drawings.
• Document quality records, inspections, and certificates.
• Coordinate packaging, shipping docs, and on-time delivery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and audits.
