Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking an Assembler II for the first shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will program, operate, and troubleshoot automated and robotic machinery to produce sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts and tools, using measuring instruments, and assembling components with various fasteners. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety practices.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Production environment with temperature variations, noise and dust.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an "A" order.
• Identify parts and their placement.
• Identify tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend work orders.
• Assemble using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts by description from order.
• Use material gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tapes, squares and measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at multiple stations as required.
• Team-based assembly to completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
