Job summary

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training
• Medication administration training as needed
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students
• If DHH program, sign language support guidance
• If Homebound, ability to work in home settings with families

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement accommodations and maintain progress/behavior records.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with tests, attendance, and events.
• Support online/remote activities and technology access when needed.
• Collaborate with licensed staff and IEP teams to support student goals.
