Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe disabilities under licensed staff. The role includes adapting curriculum, implementing behavior strategies, and maintaining progress records for individuals and small groups.

In remote learning settings, assist with technology access and coursework completion. Requires teamwork with SPED staff and a strong commitment to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior with licensed staff.
• Provide technical physical care and ensure a safe, hygienic environment.
• Assist with materials preparation, tests, and attendance as needed.
• Assist with other classroom events, such as fire drills, as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
