Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum delivery, behavior strategies, and monitoring progress in both in-person and remote settings.

You will prepare instructional materials, maintain achievement records, provide basic physical care, and help ensure a safe, hygienic learning environment. Familiarity with IEPs and collaboration with teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires HSE or equivalent diploma.
• No professional work experience required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training is desirable.
• Experience in special education settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior in conjunction with licensed staff.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with tests and attendance.
• Provide technical physical care as assigned and help maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with online/remote learning and troubleshoot technology issues.
• Support IEP implementation and report observations to IEP teams.
