Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will assist with curriculum, behavior strategies, and assignment completion in both classroom and remote settings.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, maintaining achievement records, providing technical physical care where required, and collaborating with the IEP team to implement individualized plans.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma required.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum to individual needs.
• Follow IEP plans and maintain progress/behavior records with licensed staff.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests, attendance, and documentation.
• Support online/remote learning activities and technology troubleshooting.
• Other duties as assigned.
