Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff guidance. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, behavior strategies, and completion of assignments, while preparing instructional materials and maintaining achievement records.

The role includes providing technical physical care, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting remote learning tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• High School equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills expected.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress/behavior records with licensed staff.
• Assist with materials prep, tests, attendance, and classroom events such as fire drills.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
