Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee is seeking an Human Resource Analyst - SES to oversee SES reclassifications requiring DMS approval. You will partner with staff at all levels, providing HR policy guidance and technical assistance while ensuring accurate classification and organizational structure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications software.
• Knowledge of State of Florida Personnel Rules and Florida Statutes.
• Knowledge and ability to use the People First system.
• Ability to interpret and communicate HR statutes, rules, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods.
• Knowledge of the Classification System.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Ability to use a computer and coordinate work.

Responsibilities

• Provide second level HR review for actions approved by DMS.
• Submit classification action requests to DMS; act as contact.
• Conduct position audits and issue classification decisions.
• Provide technical HR policy assistance to staff and supervisors.
• Review actions to establish, reclassify, abolish, and update CS/SES/SMS/OPS positions.
• Analyze organization tables for proper structure.
• Deliver classification training.
• Perform additional HR duties to support the department.
