Job summary

Big Impact Tech (BIT) seeks an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead and mentor the ServiceNow team, driving design, integration, and upgrades across the enterprise. You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions within ServiceNow.

Join a dynamic team delivering mission-critical IT solutions with a focus on security, reliability, and performance. DC hybrid work arrangement applies, with 2–3 onsite days weekly and active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years managing a ServiceNow environment.
• Five years as lead technical architect in an Agile development environment.
• Two years driving design of new products with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with ServiceNow core platform functions and ITSM processes.
• Experience in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, ITOM, ITBM, and Performance Analytics.
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
• Four years of related IT experience can substitute for a BS/BA degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the ServiceNow team follows best practices.
• Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ServiceNow platform technologies to customers and stakeholders.
• Drive the creation of application and technical design documents leveraging ServiceNow best practices and integration into the enterprise infrastructure.
• Ensure that the system meets business expectations with proper testing and close monitoring of performance and security with project teams.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks.
• Maintain production instance reliability via Change and Configuration Management processes.
• Serve as ServiceNow Release Manager providing final technical review before production release.
• Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application.
• Collaborate with System Administrators and ServiceNow Support concerning upgrades and strategies.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the ServiceNow team follows software development best-practices

• Ensure that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project teams

• Maintain production instance reliability through utilization of Change and Configuration Management processes
• Serve as ServiceNow Release Manager providing final technical review before release into Production
• Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application
• Collaborate with System Administrators and ServiceNow Support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform upgrades
• Oversee major version upgrades
• Design and develop solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, workflow, policies, actions, access control, interfaces and any other configurations required to support client processes

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience of increasing responsibility managing a ServiceNow environment
• At least five years of experience serving as lead technical architect in a comparable Agile development environment
• At least 2 years' experience driving design of new products with senior level stakeholders
• Experience with implementation of Service Now core platform functions, ITSM processes, and custom development
• Experience in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Project & Portfolio Suite, IT Business Management, IT Operations Management, and Performance Analytics
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams to achieve division goals
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline
• Additional four years of related professional IT experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree

• ServiceNow Certified Applications Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in IT Service Management or other similar
• ITIL or comparable IT Service Management (ITSM) certification
