Job summary

Big Impact Tech (BIT) is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to own and enhance our ServiceNow platform. You will work on integrating processes, designing workflows, and configuring catalog items, dashboards, and portals within a hybrid Washington, DC footprint.

Required: 2+ years in ServiceNow development, 3+ years in Web development, and ITIL/Agile experience. BS/BA in a related IT field or equivalent experience is expected; adaptation to a fast-paced federal/commercial client environment is

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ServiceNow development including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, client scripts, data imports, and custom apps.
• 3+ years of Web development including Web Services, HTML/XHTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular.
• Experience delivering core ITSM apps: Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB.
• Experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration.
• Experience ensuring solutions align with architectural standards and ServiceNow best practices.
• Experience planning and executing platform upgrades/releases through Production and Preproduction.
• Experience with Agile development and ITIL.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT discipline.
• Additional four years of related professional experience can substitute a BS/BA degree.

Responsibilities

• Understand all technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including process and solution integration, workflow design and configuration, integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.) and reporting
• Provide support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of difficult software problems, implementing bug fixes and performing root cause analysis
• Perform basic no- to low- code configuration of ServiceNOW such as catalog items, workflows, form views, choice lists, dashboards, portal, etc.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and a development method
• -At least three years of experience with Web development, including Web Services, X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, jQuery or Angular
• Demonstrated ability delivering core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB
• Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration
• Demonstrated experience developing solutions consistent with architectural standards and ServiceNow best practices
• Demonstrated ability planning and executing platform upgrades and application releases through Production and Preproduction environments
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and the ITIL framework
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related IT discipline
• Additional four years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree

Preferred Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Applications Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow CIS IT Service Management or other similar ServiceNOW certification
