Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Service Mapping Specialist to design, implement, and maintain business service maps that provide end-to-end visibility into application and infrastructure dependencies.

You will collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to support incident impact analysis, operational resilience, and service health monitoring, while aligning maps with CSDM and CMDB standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining Service Mapping for complex environments.
• Ability to map dependencies across applications, servers, databases, and networks.
• Familiarity with CMDB, CSDM, and MID Server configurations.
• Experience with incident, problem, change and event management is a plus.
• Strong collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Service Mapping solutions.
• Configure Top-Down Discovery and Service Mapping patterns.
• Create and maintain Business Service Maps for critical applications.
• Identify and map dependencies between applications, servers, databases, middleware, and network components.
• Discover and document end-to-end application service dependencies.
• Validate service maps with application and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate maps during technology and application changes.
• Support hybrid and cloud-based application environments
• Enable impact analysis through accurate dependency mapping.
• Support Incident, Problem, Change, and Event Management processes.
• Improve service outage analysis and root cause identification.
• Assist business continuity and operational resilience initiatives
• Establish standards and governance for service mapping.
• Ensure service maps align with CSDM and CMDB standards.
• Monitor service map health and mapping accuracy.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates for mapped services
• Work with Application Owners, Infrastructure Teams, Cloud Teams, and Business Stakeholders.
• Gather service mapping requirements and onboarding needs.
• Conduct workshops and service onboarding sessions.
• Provide recommendations for service visibility improvement
