Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in San Antonio, Texas, seeks a Platform Engineer to drive governance, performance, and evolution of our ServiceNow platform. You will partner with product owners, architects, cybersecurity, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable capabilities.

The role spans design, configuration, disaster recovery, reporting, and ongoing alignment with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
2+ years of relevant experience required.
Experience with ServiceNow platform integration design, development and support preferred.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, APM, SPM, Now Assist and AI capabilities preferred.
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile and Release Management processes preferred.
Experience partnering with integrated suppliers, service providers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Conducts monitoring of infrastructure platforms to identify performance issues and trends.
Contributes to design and implementation of new ServiceNow capabilities and platform modernization.
Documents support requests and provides technical user support.
Assists with disaster recovery planning and testing.
Develops reporting frameworks and dashboards for performance metrics.
Collaborates to ensure scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Participates in knowledge sharing and documentation improvement.
