Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Platform Engineer to oversee the ServiceNow platform, aligning it with enterprise architecture and security standards. The role partners with product owners, architects, cybersecurity, and development teams to deliver scalable and secure capabilities.

The engineer will establish platform standards, manage integrations and configurations, and drive ongoing modernization while maintaining compliant documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant platform engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform integration design, development and support preferred.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, APM, SPM, Now Assist and AI capabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design and configuration of ServiceNow platforms with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Drives platform modernization and ensures alignment with enterprise architecture and best practices.
• Collaborates with product owners, architects, cybersecurity, and development teams to deliver secure, supported implementations.
• Develops and maintains dashboards and reporting for platform performance and utilization.
• Assists in disaster recovery planning and testing and ensures continuity of service.
