Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Senior Platforms Engineer to lead infrastructure automation and platform development within Midstream IT. You will drive CI/CD for infrastructure, SRE, DevSecOps, and SDLC processes across diverse environments.

You will set platform standards, guide architecture reviews, and mentor engineers while delivering scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of platform engineering experience.
• Preferred 10+ years in Networking, Compute, IaC, IAM, and/or Platform Development.

Responsibilities

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize platform & system performance.
• Lead troubleshooting and reduce downtime with ITSM practices.
• Design disaster recovery and testing plans for platforms and systems.
• Analyze data to identify trends and drive continuous improvements.
• Lead design and configuration of complex platforms and systems to be highly available and scalable.
• Create and maintain knowledge base; mentor engineers and promote collaboration.
