About Our Client
Our client is a technology-forward company redefining the live entertainment and immersive venue experience. Operating at the intersection of media production and venue technology, they build and run some of the most technically complex environments in the industry, spanning both corporate IT and venue-level operations. Their team moves fast, thinks big, and is investing heavily in modernizing the platforms that power their day-to-day.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer to build, configure, integrate, and continuously improve the ServiceNow platform as it becomes a more strategic enterprise capability. This role will translate business and IT service needs into maintainable ServiceNow solutions across ITSM and adjacent workflows, with a strong focus on configuration before customization, platform standards, automation, data quality, and user experience.
You’ll work closely with the Sr. Manager of IT Service Management, internal process owners, Security, HR, Workplace/Facilities, Enterprise Systems, venue technology teams, and ServiceNow implementation and staff-augmentation partners. The developer will provide the hands-on technical capability needed to bring more platform ownership while supporting a governed roadmap for ServiceNow.
The initial focus will include strengthening core ITSM, improving Employee Center and service catalog experiences, enabling integrations and automation, supporting CMDB/CSDM and Discovery initiatives, and helping evaluate and implement capabilities such as Major Incident Management, AI-assisted self-service, HR and workplace workflows, and other roadmap priorities as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development or platform engineering experience in a production enterprise environment.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Glide APIs, and server/client-side development patterns.
- Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Employee Center/Service Portal, notifications, approvals, ACLs, and platform automation.
- Hands-on experience with core ITSM applications, particularly Incident, Request, Problem, Change Enablement, Knowledge, and Service Level Management.
- Experience building and troubleshooting REST API integrations, import sets, transform maps, and other data integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM concepts and an understanding of how configuration data supports ITSM processes.
- Experience working across ServiceNow development, test, and production environments with disciplined testing and release practices.
- Ability to turn business requirements into maintainable technical solutions and explain technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to platform maintainability, data quality, security, and minimizing unnecessary customization.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions using platform-native capabilities and established development standards.
- Build and maintain catalog items, record producers, flows, subflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, notifications, ACLs, scheduled jobs, and related platform components.
- Develop solutions in Flow Designer and IntegrationHub, using low-code/no-code capabilities where appropriate and scripting when it provides clear value.
- Configure and enhance Employee Center and self-service experiences, including request intake, knowledge integration, approvals, status visibility, and user communications.
- Support ITSM processes including Incident, Request, Problem, Change Enablement, Knowledge, Major Incident, and Service Level Management.
- Troubleshoot platform defects and performance issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes rather than short-term workarounds.
- Manage development through ServiceNow Dev, Test, and Production instances using disciplined update set/application repository, testing, peer review, and release practices.
- Support platform upgrades, clones, regression testing, release readiness, and remediation of technical debt.
Integration, automation, & data
- Design and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub spokes, MID Server capabilities, webhooks, import sets, transform maps, and other appropriate integration patterns.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams on integrations with systems such as Okta, Microsoft 365, AWS, GitHub, endpoint management platforms, collaboration tools, HR systems, and automation/orchestration platforms.
- Support CMDB and CSDM implementation by developing integrations, data imports, reconciliation logic, and automation that improve configuration data quality and reduce manual maintenance.
- Support Discovery, Service Graph Connectors, service mapping, and related ITOM capabilities as they are introduced into the roadmap.
- Build reporting and dashboards that provide useful operational and platform insights while maintaining consistent definitions and trustworthy data.
Platform governance, & partnership
- Support CMDB and CSDM implementation by developing integrations, data imports, reconciliation logic, and automation that improve configuration data quality and reduce manual maintenance.
- Work within the ServiceNow governance model and roadmap, helping evaluate incoming requests, estimate effort, identify dependencies, and recommend solutions that align with platform standards.
- Follow a configure-before-customize approach and actively identify opportunities to simplify or retire unnecessary customization and technical debt.
- Partner with process owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear technical designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
- Document technical designs, integrations, configuration decisions, support procedures, and reusable development standards
- Collaborate with ServiceNow partners and augmented staff while ensuring development practices, source knowledge, and solution ownership remain transparent to internal teams.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release planning, backlog refinement, and continual improvement of ServiceNow development and administration practices.
- Apply appropriate security practices including role-based access, ACL design, least privilege, data protection, and coordination with Information Security when solutions involve sensitive information.
Nice to have

- Experience with ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, Service Graph Connectors, MID Servers, or CMDB integrations.
- Experience with HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), or similar ServiceNow workflows.
- Experience with Now Assist, Virtual Agent, AI Search, or other ServiceNow AI/self-service capabilities.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Slack, Microsoft 365, Okta, AWS, GitHub, Ansible/AWX, endpoint management, or HR platforms.
- Experience in a multi-site environment supporting corporate offices, operational venues, or other distributed technology environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management governance; ITIL 4 or 5 Foundation certification is a plus.
Opportunity
- Full-time, long-term contractor engagement with a fast-growing media and venue technology company.
- Remote from LATAM
- Hands-on development and platform engineering role focused on building, configuring, integrating, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions across ITSM and related workflows.
- Help shape the platform’s long-term direction by promoting best practices, platform governance, data quality, security, and maintainable solutions.
