Job summary

WorkNovas LLC is seeking a ServiceNow Architect in Columbus, OH, onsite for a 12-month+ engagement. The role requires guiding platform standards, governance, and hands-on development of complex workflows within a FedRAMP-regulated environment.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in IT with 5+ years in ServiceNow architecture, expert JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow tooling (Studio, UI Builder, Service Portal). Certifications in CSA/CAD/CIS ITSM/ITOM and ITIL v4 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years deep technical ServiceNow development/architecture.
• Proven ability to define platform standards, governance, and hands-on workflow development.
• Cerifications: CSA, CAD, CIS ITSM/ITOM preferred, ITIL v4 Foundations.

Responsibilities

• Define technical Architecture for ServiceNow aligning with CSDM and best practices.
• Design and develop custom scoped applications, complex Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
• Implement and maintain security controls to meet FedRAMP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead architecture discussions while remaining hands-on to optimize workflows and minimize debt.

Title: ServiceNow Architect

Notes

• This role requires a professional who can operate at a strategic architectural level-defining platform standards and governance-while remaining "hands-on" to develop, configure, and troubleshoot complex workflows.
• Define the technical architecture for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and industry best practices to minimize technical debt.
• Design and develop custom scoped applications, complex Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Client Scripts using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
• FedRAMP Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security protocols, including advanced ACL configurations, data encryption, and secure coding standards to meet federal and state regulatory requirements.
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of deep technical experience in ServiceNow development and architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and ServiceNow-specific development tools (Studio, UI Builder, Service Portal).
• Proven track record of working within FedRAMP or similarly regulated government cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Configuration Management (CMDB) and IT Operations Management (Discovery, Service Mapping) within a public sector context.
• Required Certifications:
