Job summary

Total Equipment Management in Salt Lake City is seeking a Service Writer to coordinate repairs, communicate with customers, and support the service team in a fast-paced shop environment.

You’ll handle work orders, quotes, and billing while maintaining accurate records and delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in customer service and basic understanding of equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide exceptional service throughout the repair process.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries regarding equipment repairs.
• Create, process, and close work orders while ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
• Prepare repair estimates, invoices, and service documentation.
• Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure technicians have the parts they need to complete repairs.
• Check equipment in and out of the shop according to company procedures.
• Keep customers informed by providing timely updates on repair progress, inspection results, and estimated completion times.
• Assist the Service Manager with warranty claims and manufacturer documentation.
• Process customer payments and assist with billing when needed.
• Maintain accurate customer and equipment records within the service management system.
• Support the service team with additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
