Job summary

A&H Equipment Co. is seeking a Service Writer to be the primary liaison between customers, the sales team, and service shop technicians. You will greet customers, identify service needs, open and manage work orders, and ensure transparent communication throughout the repair lifecycle. Hours are 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.

The role blends technical aptitude with customer service to enhance shop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitable service operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, technical or trade training preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment or automotive industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL A/B a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and translate concerns into detailed repair orders.
• Open, update, and manage work orders in the dealer management system.
• Develop cost estimates for parts and labor and obtain authorization.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding status and changes.
• Coordinate with parts and service teams to prioritize work and schedule technicians.
• Review completed work orders, verify labor entries, and prepare final invoices.
