Carlile is seeking a Service Writer in Anchorage, AK for a full-time, individual contributor role. The position pays an hourly salary range and involves coordinating service work between the shop and operations, maintaining accurate records, and serving as the main contact for the shop.

Responsibilities include ensuring DVIRs are completed, communicating with drivers and operations, and handling administrative duties while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years administrative experience, preferably in a vehicle or maintenance equipment shop.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to communicate technical issues to the service team.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and in compliance with HSSE policies.
• Fill out DVIRs and create initial service orders.
• Coordinate service times with technicians and shop leads.
• Meet with operations to understand requirements and inform the service team.
• Act as liaison between departments and communicate repair times and dispatch.
• Input service/repair details and verify parts and labor billing.
• Issue purchase orders and track expenditures.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Develop positive relationships with shop staff and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
