Prestige Auto Works in Sacramento, CA is hiring a full-time Service Writer/Service Advisor to greet customers, write repair orders, and coordinate with technicians for timely, accurate service.

You will build estimates in Tekmetric, explain repairs and pricing in plain language, obtain approvals, and manage scheduling, payments, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service writer or service advisor in automotive repair.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and common repairs.
• Experience with Tekmetric or other shop management software is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; organized and dependable.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Greet customers in person and on the phone, and make them feel welcome.
• Listen to customer concerns and write clear, accurate repair orders.
• Build estimates and invoices inTekmetric.
• Explain recommended repairs, pricing, and timelines in plain language.
• Get customer approval before work begins and keep them updated on progress.
• Work closely with technicians to make sure jobs are done right and on time.
• Order parts and check pricing and availability with vendors.
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily workflow.
• Handle payments and close out repair orders.
• Follow up with customers after service and handle any concerns professionally.
• Keep the front counter and customer area clean and organized.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a service writer or service advisor in automotive repair.
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and common repairs.
• Experience with Tekmetric or other shop management software is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized and able to handle multiple customers and jobs at once.
• Honest, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable with computers, phones, and email.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
