Qualifications

• At least 2 years of service writing experience.
• Knowledge of automotive repairs and components.
• Strong phone, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience closing invoices, handling cash, and processing credit card payments.
• Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
• Knowledge of oil grades and automotive fluids.
• Understanding of tires, tire sizes, and load and speed ratings.
• Familiarity with labor time guides and programs such as ALLDATA, Mitchell, MOTOR, and Identifix.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, discuss vehicle concerns, and document service requests.
• Communicate recommended repairs and maintenance clearly to customers.
• Prepare service estimates using labor time guides and automotive repair software.
• Coordinate with technicians and provide customers with updates on service progress.
• Assist customers with questions about oils, fluids, tires, and vehicle components.
• Prepare and close invoices, collect payments, and process cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain accurate service records and provide professional customer service throughout the repair process.
