Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Service Coordinator to support daily store operations in Michigan and beyond. You will collaborate with peer leadership to ensure smooth shift handoffs, monitor department activities, and drive actions to protect shrink and financial outcomes.

You will train team members, mentor staff, and serve as a subject matter expert for company pilots and development programs, reflecting Meijer's commitment to teamwork and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to lift and move items as part of duty.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth shift handoffs.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift handoffs when leadership absent.
• Coordinate actions to monitor shrink and financial outcomes; elevate concerns.
• Champion participation in community programs and lead by example.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentoring.
• Act as a subject matter expert for market programs and pilots.
• Assign tasks with team leader and ensure completion.
