Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations and ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience. You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain cleanliness and standards, and assign work to cashiers and service desk staff to meet productivity and service goals.

You will coach and train team members, act as SME for market programs, and drive customer satisfaction while monitoring shrink and financial outcomes across your areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication, customer focus, organization, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to lift and move items as needed.
• Team training and mentoring involvement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoffs.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-offs.
• Coordinate actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes.
• Proactively elevate concerns to leadership.
• Champion participation in community programs.
• Lead by example with TMRG engagement.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members.
• On-the-job training and mentoring.
• Serve as SME for market programs and pilots.
• Assign tasks to team members within the department and follow up.
