Job summary

General Services Corporation in Richmond, VA provides first-class maintenance support to our residents. We are seeking an experienced service technician to perform HVAC repairs, install units, and ensure safety and environmental compliance across our housing properties.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in HVAC repair and related trades, EPA Certification, and the ability to lift 100 lbs. A valid driver’s license is required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have HVAC repair experience and EPA certification.
• HVAC installation and troubleshooting experience.
• Apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs and operate safely.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely and proficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to our Residents.
• Repair and/or install appliances and HVAC units to maintain quality dwelling.
• Comply with environmental and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Handle other general maintenance tickets as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely and proficient manner

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years in HVAC repair, plumbing, basic carpentry, and electrical skills
• Must be EPA Certified (Type 2 or Universal)
• HVAC installation experience
• HVAC troubleshooting experience
• Apartment maintenance experience is a plus
• Passing a criminal background check required
• Ability to lift 100 lbs
• Spanish language skills are a plus
• Initiative and customer service skills
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required, along with a passing criminal background check and pre-employment drug testing
