Job summary

Westdale is seeking a Service Technician I for our 387-unit, newly constructed apartment community in South Austin. You will turn vacant units into ready homes and maintain the property grounds and common areas, contributing to an energetic team environment.

Requirements include 6 months of maintenance experience (1 year preferred), ability to follow directions, and the willingness to be on-call. Valid TX driver’s license and a positive, customer-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of maintenance experience on an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residences.
• 1 year of apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call every 3 weeks for emergencies.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas as well as picking up trash and debris.
• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $18.00- $19.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
***Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.***
