Job summary

NextGen Security LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Senior Service Technician to service, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise level electronic security systems for healthcare, higher education, utilities, data centers and industrial clients.

You will lead technical efforts on Access Control and Video Surveillance, ensure systems operate reliably, build strong customer relationships, and may travel or perform after-hours service calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with installing and maintaining enterprise-level access control systems.
• Experience with enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based and analog).
• Technical/electrical background.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, testing and repair of enterprise level electronic security systems.
• Lead technical efforts in Access Control and Video Surveillance.
• Ensure systems operate reliably and maintain customer relationships.
• Support operations team and occasional after-hours calls.

**Whatwe’relooking for:**

We are seeking an experienced electronic security service technician to join ourfast-growingand dynamic team.

Whatyou’llbe doing:

The Senior Service Technicianis responsible forthe service, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming,testingand repair of enterprise level electronic security systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, Utilities, Pharmaceutical, Data Center & Technology and Oil & Gas customers. This role serves as a technical leader in the field, providing advanced supportmainly forAccess Control, Video Surveillance, and related low-voltage systems. The Senior Service Technician ensures systemsoperatereliably,maintainsstrong customer relationships, and supports the operation team when needed. Some travel may berequired, along with after-hoursservice calls.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with installing andmaintaining:
• Enterprise-level access control systems.
• Enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based and analog).
• Technical/electrical background.
• Superior problem solving and communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
• Ability to safelyoperatea company vehicle.

Preferred but Not Required

• Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel.
• Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, Avigilon,Exaqc,MaxPro, and/or Milestone.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications inSenstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
• Networking and IT knowledge.
• TWIC Cardholder.
• Experience in computer operating systems, networkdesignand implementation.
