Job summary

NextGen Security, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced System Support Specialist to join our fast-growing, dynamic team. You will provide technical support for our operations workforce, oversee large-scale deployments, and engage with customers onsite to address complex needs.

Occasional travel to other offices is expected, with a focus on network design, system programming, and customer collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience configuring, installing, and maintaining enterprise security systems.
• Experience with access control, VMS, and IDS in enterprise environments.
• Certifications in Genetec Omnicast, Honeywell Pro Watch or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong networking/IT knowledge and ability to design secure network solutions.
• Familiarity with local security codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for our security operations team and customers.
• Oversee large-scale deployments and onsite customer meetings to resolve complex needs.
• Assist with system programming and network design projects.
• Occasional local travel to other offices and customer sites.

System Support Specialist

Whatyou’llbe doing:

This position will have multiple roles ranging from:technical support for our technical workforce,overseeing large scale deployments with the operations team, onsite customer meetings to address complex customer needs,system programming, and network design. Some local travel to other offices and customer sites may berequired.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimumof7years ofexperience withconfiguring,installing,andmaintaining:
• Enterprise-LevelAccessControlSystems.
• Genetec Omnicast and Honeywell Pro Watch certifications.
• Intrusiondetection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.
• Enterprise-LevelVideoManagementSystems (IP-based).
• Networkingand IT knowledge.
• Superiorproblem solvingandcommunication skills.
• Workindependently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization skills.
• Familiarizationwith local electronicsecuritycodesand industry standards.
• Understanding of basic SQL operations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MSProjectand other Microsoft products.

Preferred

• Access ControlSystemVendorCertifications(some advanced certifications as well)in Software House CCure,Lenel,Software House,Genetec,ProWatch,and Avigilon.
• Video ManagementSystemVendorCertifications inGenetec,OnSSI,MaxPro, Avigilonand/or Milestone.
• Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Bosch, DMP,Senstarand/or FFT.
• Experience incomputer operating systems,network design and implementation.
• TWIC Cardholder.
• Individual Private Security License holder.
