NC Machinery Co. in Anchorage, AK is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor for Power Systems Rental to oversee daily operations of the rental technicians and support a team of diesel technicians in the Commercial Generator Service Department.

The role involves planning, scheduling, budgeting, and customer liaison to meet service expectations. Proven generator experience (EPG), 2–4 years of progressive management in a service setting, and familiarity with DBS and Cognos are highly valued.

Qualifications

• EPG and Generator experience required.
• 2-4 years of progressive management experience in a service setting.
• Familiarity with service work order databases such as DBS and financial programs such as Cognos is highly desired.
• Experience with Detroit Diesel, MTU, Volvo diesel engines, and generators required.
• Previous experience at a Cat Dealership preferred.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar Generator products, service, and technical skills preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other business software.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Power Generation Rental Technicians.
• Support a team of diesel technicians.

• Work with sales, product support, warranty, technical communication, and parts groups to meet customer expectations.
• Prepare and manage all open work orders.
• Manage all expenses (hours/parts, etc.) related to work orders.
• Maintain heavy phone contact with customers and technicians on repair jobs, status, or issues.
• Compile and track operational data.
• Recruit and interview new technicians.
• Coach and counseling employees on work-related issues.
• Investigate near-misses, accidents, or injuries and prepare appropriate reports.
• Manage department budgets, expenses, and performance reviews for department employees.
