Job summary

Lithia Chevrolet of Redding is seeking a punctual Service Porter to join our Service Department in Redding, CA. The role involves greeting customers, preparing vehicles for service, and supporting the service team to ensure smooth operations.

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $16.90 to $18.00, with benefits and opportunities for growth. A valid driver’s license is required, and a flexible Monday–Friday schedule is typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome service customers. Assist all customers promptly.
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when the customer pays their bill or as the advisor directs.
• Maintain the parking lot and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming calls.
• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report safety or integrity concerns to management.
• Maintain a valid local driver’s license and report changes.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

We are looking for a customer-focused Service Porter to join our Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, excels and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome service customers. Assist all customers promptly.

• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform different clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers.
• Maintain a valid local area driver's license and immediately inform management of any changes in its status.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
