Job summary

Chevrolet GMC of Fairbanks is seeking a customer-focused Service Porter to join our Service Department. This role involves greeting customers, assisting the service receptionist, and helping keep the service lane, parking lot, and work area organized.

You will drive vehicles between the service lane and parking areas, retrieve cars for checkout, and support the service team with clerical tasks. A valid driver's license and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 18 years or older required.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome service customers, assist all customers promptly.
• Identify the service advisor with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when the customer pays their bill or as the advisor directs.
• Maintain the parking lot. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist the Service Receptionist with incoming telephone calls.
• Assist Shuttle driver when needed.
• Perform several clerical tasks as assigned by service management.
• Report to management any situation or condition jeopardizing safety, welfare, or integrity.
