Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Forest Lake in North Branch, MN is seeking a Parts & Service Representative to assist customers with equipment troubleshooting, identify and source replacement parts, process orders, and coordinate shipments. The role blends office tasks with hands-on parts work and requires strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service.

You will work Monday-Friday with hours as listed: 7:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 6:00 AM-11:00 AM Friday, with weekly paychecks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Experience or knowledge of hydraulics and power transmission systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and technical documents.
• ERP software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer parts and service-related customer calls and emails with excellent service.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify correct replacement parts.
• Enter and manage sales orders, review order history, and process job tickets.
• Package, ship, and track customer orders using shipping software.
• Research parts required for maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Assist with inventory needs by requisitioning out-of-stock items.
• Read blueprints, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
• Communicate process improvements with production and service teams.

As a Parts & Service Representative, you'll work in a dynamic environment assisting customers with equipment troubleshooting, identifying and sourcing replacement parts, processing orders, and coordinating shipments. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to solve problems efficiently.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of customer service experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience, training, or hobbies
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and solve problems effectively
• Experience or knowledge of hydraulics and power transmission systems preferred
• Experience or knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and technical documents
• Proficiency with computer systems and ERP software experience is a plus
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment
• Proven reliability, attendance, and punctuality
• Ability to reason through complex situations and make sound decisions
• Ability to perform periodic keyboarding and office tasks while also working in a shop environment
