Job summary

FS-Compression in Pittsburgh seeks a Service Manager to lead daily operations of the service department, optimize performance and safety, and drive profitability by managing technicians, coordinators, and related workflows.

You will coach staff, improve scheduling and paperwork flow, oversee warranty activity, and ensure compliance with policies while fostering strong customer relationships and continuous improvement in compressed air technology.

Qualifications

• Experience leading service technicians and coordinating field service activities.
• Knowledge of export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and manage daily service technician activities.
• Provide coaching to senior and field technicians on troubleshooting and service procedures.
• Collaborate with service coordinators to improve scheduling, billing readiness, and paperwork flow.
• Review work orders, labor utilization, warranty activity, and service trends for improvements.
• Maintain customer relationships by addressing service concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure workmanship quality and adherence to company standards.
• Develop and evaluate service technicians for competency and growth.
• Support quoting and planning for service projects and maintenance agreements.
