Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking an Area Service Manager in the United States to lead field technicians and lead service technicians, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction across multiple field locations. Responsibilities include budgeting, coaching, and daily resource management, with frequent travel.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, plus the ability to train staff and maintain service levels in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or requisite job experience in gas compression.
• Minimum of 5 years of field experience in gas compression.
• Ability to configure gas compression equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours.
• Capable of driving a commercial-size truck.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Ability to develop people and business management skills.
• Excellent customer service with field personnel and vendors.
• Ability to train and communicate technical and soft skills to FSTs.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word).
• High mechanical ability and understanding of communications from leadership.
• Legal ability to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safety adherence and service standards.
• First-line support for troubleshooting issues.
• Hire, coach, motivate, and manage performance.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain field-level customer relationships.
• Provide proactive field communications to customers and employees.
• Monitor fleet operation costs and target cost savings.
• Oversee and coordinate Field Service Technician activities.
• Advise Operations Director on major repairs.
• Ensure run time meets contractual agreements and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain company vehicle per guidelines.
• Make recommendations on capital expenditures for field equipment.
• Interface with outside vendors and coordinate with sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Full-time salary position.
