Job summary

P & K Midwest is looking for a Service Manager in Delmar, IA to lead the Service Department, optimize processes, and drive safety and profitability. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance while aligning with the Store Manager’s strategic direction.

You will develop service operations, monitor metrics, and collaborate on safety, training, and customer-focused initiatives to enhance service labor sales and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in managing a department.
• Understanding of financial principles related to department operations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
• Ability to use standard desktop applications and internet functions.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Must be well organized and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains effective Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Leads by sharing best practices to improve the Service Department.
• Reviews work orders for accuracy to maximize ROI.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to recruit and retain key talent.
• Ensures safety of the service department and conducts safety training.
• Develops training paths for service personnel in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Communicated policies, procedures, and service goals to staff.
• Sets service personnel goals, gives feedback, and rewards performance.
• Promotes customer seminars and service-related events.
• Assists in creating and executing a marketing plan to grow service sales.
