Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company in Virginia is seeking an experienced field and shop service support professional. You will assist Field and Shop Service Supervisors, help manage service activity, and ensure accurate time reporting and documentation for every job.

The role requires strong communication with customers and PSRs, diligent maintenance of work orders, and attention to warranty documentation and training needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with two years of vocational/technical training.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a heavy equipment technician.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• General knowledge of maintenance, repair, parts department functions and customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technician time and write-ups are submitted daily.
• Initiate work orders and update jobs as scope or estimates change.
• Communicate revised estimates and scope changes with PSRs and customers.
• Maintain written communications to ensure customers understand the scope of work.
• Follow up with technicians on status of assigned work orders.
• Maintain work orders with write-ups, eTime, and photos for supervisor review.
• Maintain warranty repairs with proper documentation for claims.
• Provide input on performance reviews and training needs.
• Report rework or non-productive activity by technicians to supervisors.
• Update supervisors on problem jobs before invoicing.
