Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Service Manager for our Charlotte, NC community. You will lead maintenance operations to keep residents in a clean, safe, and attractive environment while protecting property assets.

You will supervise on-site maintenance staff, coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, and manage outside contractors. Strong mechanical aptitude and HVAC/EPA certifications are preferred for this essential role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• General mechanical aptitude and ability.
• EPA and HVAC certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates on-site in general maintenance and repairs.
• Organizes turnover activities and preventive maintenance work; prioritizes work orders.
• Orders supplies and maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Oversees work by outside contractors and inspects completed work; takes corrective actions.
• Trains subordinate staff and participates in contractor selection.
• Issues purchase orders and processes invoices.
