Job summary

NHE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for a multifamily community in Charlotte, NC. This role oversees repairs, unit turns, preventive maintenance, safety, vendor coordination, and on-site staff supervision.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of general maintenance, 1+ year in multifamily or related service requests, and strong troubleshooting across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. Valid license required.

Qualifications

5+ years general maintenance experience; 1+ year multifamily/industrial/institutional service request experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, pools/spas, irrigation, and related systems.
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
Ability to read/write English at an intermediate level and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

Supervise, schedule, and perform daily maintenance operations.
Coordinate with the Community Manager on unit walks, inspections, move-ins/outs, and project planning.
Ensure all repairs/replacements necessary for apartment to be occupied are completed.
Manage weekly make-ready schedules and service request assignments; monitor progress and quality.
Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating maintenance staff.
Respond to and prioritize resident service requests; ensure timely completion with minimal callbacks.
