Job summary

Rentix Solutions seeks a Service Manager to oversee the service department, drive daily shop and field operations, and ensure safe, efficient maintenance of equipment for customers in water, sewer, electric utility, and environmental markets.

You will lead technicians, manage workflow, and maintain records while promoting safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the branch. This role reports to upper management and supports branch objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment/truck/industrial service environment with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting heavy equipment and truck systems preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems, diagnostic software, and Microsoft Office.
• Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service shop and field operations for inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
• Schedule work orders to maximize technician productivity and equipment availability.
• Serve as primary contact for service customers: provide estimates and status updates; resolve concerns.
• Maintain service records, warranty claims, labor estimates, and compliance with processes.
• Lead and coach technicians, conduct performance reviews, promote development.
• Foster safety, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism within the service team.
