Responsibilities

  • Provides detailed quotes with repair scope to customers.
  • Discusses required service work prior to repairs.
  • Follows up with customers on completed jobs.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction and service team performance.
  • Opens and maintains field work order files.
  • Coordinates with service admin to process and close orders.
  • Assists Shop Foreman and mechanics as needed.
  • Maintains communications with Service Manager on field activities.
  • Ensures clean safety practices and proper incident reporting.
  • Manages field fleet, repairs, appearance, and cost controls.
  • Schedules field campaigns to meet manufacturer deadlines.
  • Helps procure parts and supplies in cooperation with Parts.
  • Promotes good customer and employee relations.
  • Mentors and trains staff to uphold teamwork and performance.
  • Tracks departmental performance with visual controls and reports.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides customer with detailed quote with scope of repair.
  • Discusses with customers required service work prior to executing repairs.
  • Follow-up with customers on jobs performed.
  • Maintains a level of satisfaction with customer on service performed and with the work of the personnel under his/her direction.
  • Opens and maintains field workorder files.
  • Works with service admin on getting workorders ready to be processed and closed.
  • Provides necessary assistance to Shop Foreman and service mechanics as needed.
  • Maintains communications with the Service Manager regarding activities of field repair orders.
  • Maintains a high level of morale and work ethic standards for self and service employees under his/her direction.
  • Maintains service fleet, repairs, appearance, safety and cost controls.
  • Collect daily truck inspections.
  • Maintain service truck files
  • Scheduling Field Campaigns to ensure completion in the time frame given by manufacturer.
  • Responsible for maintaining maximum labor efficiency.
  • Assist in obtaining parts and supplies for service repair work in cooperation with the Parts Department.
  • Promotes good customer and employee relations.
  • Reviews, evaluates personnel and makes recommendations. Is completely familiar with labor agreements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Ensures effective employee relations; mentor, coach, train, and develop while instilling and promoting teamwork.
  • Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
  • Promotes and ensures proper safety and incident reporting procedures are in compliance, conducts investigations, and training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years of related experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record
  • Written and verbal communication skills, ability to demonstrate and state facts to all contact people.
  • Knowledge of office equipment operation and PC skills
  • Basic knowledge of administration and supervision

Physical Requirements
  • Required to use computers and office machines
  • Work environment is consistent with that of construction equipment yard and repair shop
  • Safety training and PPE is required
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
