Job summary

D2B Groups LLC is seeking a Service and Inventory Manager to lead field service and warehouse operations in northern New Jersey. You will dispatch technicians, guide on-site diagnoses, and ensure the right parts are on the truck for timely service.

This hands-on leadership role oversees a field service team and full responsibility for parts and equipment inventory, with accountability for response times, first-visit completion, and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems (boilers, burners, water heaters).
• Experience supervising field service or trades teams.
• Experience tracking inventory and purchasing parts in service or distribution settings.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving service environment.
• Comfortable with scheduling, dispatch, inventory software, and basic spreadsheet work.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations for the service technician team and serve as the primary technical resource for the field.
• Schedule and dispatch repair, maintenance, and installation jobs while balancing emergencies and planned work.
• Coach technicians on diagnostics, workmanship, and customer interaction.
• Coordinate with customers and office staff on job status and follow-up work.
• Enforce safety practices and code compliance across field work.
• Own parts and equipment inventory from stocking levels to truck loads.
• Procure materials, lead times, pricing, and supplier coordination.
• Manage open orders through to receipt and stage materials for field work.
• Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile with system records.
• Maintain organized warehouse and shop area to prevent shortages and waste.
