Essential Services is seeking a Senior Boiler Technician to lead field service, installation, and repair of boilers across NJ/PA/NY. You will diagnose, test, and sign off on boiler system work for commercial and industrial facilities, with on-call rotation for emergency coverage.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on boiler experience, NJ Black Seal license (or ability to obtain in 6 months), and strong knowledge of flame safeguard systems. Travel and multiple locations are involved.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of hands-on service, installation, and repair on commercial and industrial boilers; 8+ years ideal.
• New Jersey Black Seal (High Pressure) boiler operator license or ability to earn within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of flame safeguard and burner management systems and gas trains.
• Combustion analysis with a digital analyzer and burner tuning on linkage and parallel positioning systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting: control circuits, motors, starters, and 3-phase power to 480 VAC from ladder diagrams.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose and repair firetube, watertube, and packaged boilers from commercial units to large industrial plants.
• Troubleshoot burners, flame safeguards, gas trains, feedwater and condensate systems, pumps, and boiler room controls (24 VAC–480 VAC).
• Take calls from operators, triage by phone, and onsite when needed.
• Respond to emergency calls via on-call rotation; cover as licensed operator when required.
• Manage installation/startup/commissioning: oversee contractors and perform handover to operating crew.
• Perform startups, safety interlocks, and combustion tuning; propose upgrades and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare boilers for inspections; write reports and maintain service records.
