Job summary

D2B Groups in the United States is seeking a General Manager to own full P&L across service, construction, and shop operations. You will drive margin, tighten execution, and modernize systems while preserving long-standing customer relationships.

The role requires leadership of field technicians, estimators, dispatch, and admin staff; a strong financial mindset; and adherence to ASME and NB codes. Field presence across the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in progressive operations leadership in commercial or industrial boiler, mechanical HVAC, power generation, or process piping contracting, including at least five years with direct P&L accountability.
• Experience operating inside an R Stamp certified organization with Quality Control Manual, Authorized Inspector collaboration, and National Board reviews.
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and National Board Inspection Code as they apply to repair, alteration, and new installation.
• Track record of improving gross margin and operating income in a service-and-project business with measurable results.
• Proven ability to build financial reporting from operational data and present credibly to owners, boards, or sponsors.
• Experience leading fifteen or more employees across field and office functions, with hiring, development, and performance management.
• Fluency with service management and ERP platforms and driving adoption within teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to be in the field and at customer sites across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L across service, project, and shop operations; manage annual budget, monthly forecasting, and variance discussions.
• Maintain code certifications; oversee QC programs and National Board reviews; collaborate with Authorized Inspection Agency.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams spanning field service, boilermakers, welders, project managers, estimators, dispatch, and admin staff.
• Grow recurring revenue via preventive maintenance agreements and full-coverage service contracts; support larger installations and retrofits.
• Develop customer-facing financial proposals for capital projects including installed cost, fuel/economy savings, payback, and incentives.
• Oversee safety outcomes and compliance metrics; manage scheduling, procurement, and workforce planning.
